From Morocco to Cardiff.
4 years as a data scientist and ML engineer, now building AI systems in the open. Here is the longer version.
I grew up in Morocco. Numbers and computers pulled me in early, and long before I had the words for it I was the person friends and family came to when something on a screen stopped making sense. That curiosity never really switched off.
I moved to the UK to study at Cardiff Metropolitan University. A new country, a new language of professional work, and a lot of catching up to do, all at once. Cardiff became home, and it is where I still live and work today.
Over the last 4 years I have worked as a data scientist and ML engineer, including leading data analytics at Adway, where I helped make hiring quality measurable and supported the team with insight they could actually act on. Alongside that I built a freelance practice on Upwork, earning $90K+ at a 100% Job Success Score and Top Rated Plus status.
Now I build AI systems: agents, workflow automation and RAG. I publish them in full so you can see exactly how they work rather than take my word for it. I care more about a system that still runs in month six than one that demos well on day one.
